The spring has brought exciting signs of new life to the farm.

Bees are buzzing

Hive checks began in March, and by April the colonies were looking healthy and strong. with several hives split and many preparing for honey production.

Chicks are on the farm

This spring also brought the arrival of 30 chicks, which were picked up at the local post office, brought back to the farm, and carefully placed in the brood barn. Since then, they have been settling in and acclimating well to their new home.

Potatoes Planted, Season Underway!

This spring we have also been planting potatoes as part of the farm’s seasonal work. Each row planted is another step toward the harvest to come and a reminder that this time of year is all about preparation, patience, and growth. It is exciting to see so many parts of the farm coming to life at once.
